May be the Mothman stories are base on the same birdlike creatures from the ancient times mythology . This is what came up from me earing thoses stories and using my reasearch "Angel Face".

it's gray here because i'm comparing with the nocturnal winged creature "Mothman" from the popular culture stories in the US ... i did it almost scketchy did'nt want to lose the idea :)
